If you think you have seen everything Gatlinburg has to offer, just wait until you experience the all Gatlinburg SkyLift Park! This amazing park offers tremendous views of the Smoky Mountains and the opportunity to walk across the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America! When you want to take your vacation to new heights, there is no better place in Gatlinburg to visit! Here are the top things you need to experience at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park:

Ride the Gatlinburg SkyLift

If you have ever heard the phrase “half the fun is getting there,” this definitely applies with a ride on the Gatlinburg SkyLift! This iconic ski lift style attraction has been operating in Gatlinburg since 1954 and takes you on a 500-vertical-foot journey from the heart of town to the top of Crockett Mountain! The SkyLift was renovated in 2017 with comfortable 3 seat chair lifts where you can enjoy a pleasant ride to the new SkyDeck and experience the incredible SkyBridge! Once you have explored the peak of Crockett Mountain, you can look forward to your scenic ride back to the bottom of the mountain!

Stroll Across the SkyBridge

Join your family and friends as you literally cross through the sky on the SkyBridge, a 680-foot-long pedestrian bridge that is sure to take your breath away! You are welcome to walk across the bridge at your own pace so you have plenty of time to enjoy the panoramic views and spectacular setting. Once you reach the midpoint of the bridge, you will be 140 feet above the valley below! If you want an extra special thrill, look down through the glass floor panels located in the middle of the span!

Relax on the SkyDeck

After experiencing the thrill of the SkyBridge, catch your breath and spend some time relaxing on the SkyDeck! This expansive viewing deck features outdoor seating areas and a SkyCenter building, where you can enjoy a gift shop, snack bar, indoor seating area and a bar! Be sure to bring your camera to capture a selfie of yourself in front of Gatlinburg’s best views, then grab a snack to eat while overlooking the sparkling lights of Gatlinburg at night!

Planning Your Visit

Since the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park is at the top of Crockett Mountain, you must access the Gatlinburg SkyLift station in the middle of downtown Gatlinburg. While there is no immediate parking at the base of the SkyLift, there are 2 nearby public parking lots, and our hotel is just steps away! Gatlinburg SkyLift Park is open daily, except for Christmas, and generally opens at 9 am, while closing times vary depending on the season. Tickets to the park can be purchased online or at the base of the SkyLift upon arrival, and tickets include all day access to all of the attractions!
