1. Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster

For a thrilling ride that puts you in the driver’s seat, give the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster a try! Experience the excitement of every twist and turn as you hurtle through the forest on the specially-designed silent track. This unique roller coaster features double and single-rider cars with brakes that allow you to coast down the mountain at your own speed. For a completely new experience, come back after dark for their no-brakes night rides! Zip through the dark forest and past the sparkling arrangement of dangling lights at speeds over 30 miles an hour! Souvenir photos are also available in their gift shop so you can remember all the fun you had.

 

2. Gatlinburg Sky Lift

There’s no better way to admire the beauty of the Smokies than by riding the Gatlinburg Sky Lift. With incredible views from 1,800 feet in the air, it’s the best seat in town! As long as they fit comfortably, up to 3 people can ride in one chair. People of all ages and heights can ride and children ages 2 and under can ride for free! There are also discounts for active and retired military. The views are so beautiful that you’ll want to ride the lift twice. Come back after dark for dazzling views of the city lights at night!

 

3. Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies

Aquarium of The SmokiesGet up close and personal with the amazing sea creatures at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. With all sorts of opportunities to interact with the animals, this is one of the most popular attractions for kids and families. You can reach out and touch the stingrays in Touch a Ray Bay, pet one of the playful penguins in Penguin Encounter or go on a behind-the-scenes tour! Combo packages are also available, which include other Ripley attractions. This indoor attraction is also one of the best things to do when it rains! 4. Anakeesta

Welcome to the mountain playground for all ages! Race through the trees right next to friends or family on the Dueling Zipline Adventure! Take a stroll 40 to 60 feet above the forest floor in the Tree Canopy Walk! There are 16 connected sky bridges and each one leads to a new observation platform. The kids can enjoy playing in the whimsical Treehouse Village and Playground. They will also love discovering treasures in the Anakeesta Gem Mine, an interactive waterfall and sluice. To complete your visit to Anakeesta, experience the magic of Firefly Village, a collection of treehouse-themed restaurants and shops. While you’re here, take in the scenic overlooks and the nearly 360-degree view of the surrounding mountain range.
