There’s no better place to get away with your sweetheart than the Smoky Mountains! If you haven’t visited before, you might be wondering what activities and attractions you should try while you’re both in town. To help you plan for an amazing trip with your loved one, here are 5 of the top romantic things to do in Gatlinburg.

1. Visit the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community

If you and your sweetie are kind of artsy, you’ll really enjoy exploring the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community. This 8-mile loop is home to over 100 artists and craftsmen and their amazing creations, and you can experience it all for yourself when you visit. Many of them can also be seen demonstrating their trade in front of thousands of people there!

2. Complete the Rocky Top Wine Trail

It’s comprised of 5 wineries, and you’ll have the opportunity to sample over 70 different wines when you visit them! You’ll even receive a free logoed wine glass at your third stop and another surprise at the fifth winery you go to. If you find a particular wine that you both love, you can simply purchase it there and take it with you to enjoy later. The best part is that you don’t have to complete the trail in one day. You can spread it out over the time you have here in town so that you can really enjoy each location.

3. Ride the Gatlinburg Sky Lift

For over 50 years, riding the Gatlinburg Sky Lift has been a tradition for couples visiting the Smokies. Your adventure will start as you hop on the chairlift and travel 500 vertical feet to the top of Crockett Mountain! Along the way, you can enjoy gorgeous views of the Smokies and downtown Gatlinburg. This attraction offers some of the best opportunities for photos with your sweetie as well!

5. Dinner for Two

There’s no better way to bring an eventful day in the Smokies to a close than with a delicious dinner for two! Luckily, there are plenty of fantastic restaurants in Gatlinburg where you can grab a bite to eat. One of our favorites is The Peddler Steakhouse. The succulent steaks there are hand cut to order at your table and grilled over real Tennessee hickory charcoal! The entrees also come with a fresh salad bar, your choice of a side dish, and oven hot bread.
