1. Anakeesta
Experience the Smokies in a unique way at this new and fun attraction! Anakeesta an aerial adventure park. You ascend to Anakeesta by chair lift, and once up there you will have plenty to keep you busy! You can shop, dine, zipline, explore a rope/bridge course that’s 40 ft in the air, or enjoy a peaceful stroll on the forest memorial trail. Also, Anakeesta is the perfect place to take in some amazing views of Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains.
2. Ole Smoky Barrelhouse
The Ole Smoky Barrelhouse is the newest addition to the Ole Smoky Moonshine family. This location is directly across the parkway from the Edgewater Hotel in Gatlinburg. The Barrelhouse is unique. They sell five flavors of moonshine and about fifteen flavors of whiskey! A couple of their best selling flavors include Salty Caramel, Cinnamon, Tennessee Mud, Salty Watermelon, and more. When you give a tasting tour a try you will be treated to thirteen unique whiskey and moonshine flavors, and you’ll get to hear jokes and learn about how the products were made. This is a one of kind experience in the Smokies!
3. Ripley’s Guinness World Records Adventure
How long can you hold your breath? How far can you jump? Can you punch through a stack of cinderblocks? Learn about some of the remarkable people in the world who can do some of the coolest, strangest, and wildest things. Exhibits in Ripley’s Guinness World Records Adventure will include things and people like Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, the largest egg, the Apollo 11 mission and much more! Spend your afternoon learning about some neat people and events that made world record history.
4. Mysterious Mansion
It doesn’t have to be Halloween for you to enjoy a thrilling and scary adventure like the Mysterious Mansion. Located directly beside the Edgewater Hotel in Gatlinburg, it is the closest attraction. You will guide yourself through a turn of the century, haunted theme house while ghouls and monsters wait for you to turn a corner or open the wrong door.
5. Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies
The Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies is one of the coolest attractions in town! It’s located on the same side of the street as the Edgewater Hotel in Gatlinburg right down the road. Here you will get to see over 10,000 marine life creatures, everything from seahorses, jellyfish, and sharks to penguins! There a many interactive exhibits for kids, diving shows to see, a shark tunnel to explore, and even artwork you can buy that was made by the penguins there.
